Week of December 18th 19th

Our class is going to the Brown House Monday morning.There will be a history quiz on Tuesday. Our class party is Tuesday afternoon.

Please send in your child's $10 gift by Monday so that we can have our gift exchange on Tuesday. (If anyone needs help with this, please let me know.)

Christmas Break is from Wednesday, December 19th - Wednesday, January 2nd! School will start back on Thursday, January 4th.

Week of December 10th-14th

Every student at NLCA did a great job in the school play! Thank you for helping make this year's play such a success! We had a blast watching The Grinch as a school; thank you to the principals for making that happen! Please don't forget to bring in your $10 gift by next Monday, December 17th for the class party on December 18th!

Tests and quizzes next week:

Monday - language, classroom spelling bee

Tuesday - history test and school spelling bee

Wednesday - math quiz and spelling test (from the "bee" list)

Thursday - reading vocab quiz

Friday - present current event (1-minute presentation from class magazine) and class geography bee (see Mrs. Cole's blog to a study link)

Homework Policy:

My goal is to teach everything in class each day. We will work as a class to accomplish each assignment during class time. If a student doesn't complete the work in class, it is expected to be turned in at the beginning of class the following day. I am available during study hall to help so that work doesn't have to be taken home. We even review for tests in class, but I do expect students to study for them individually, whether in a study hall or at home. If a student is absent, the work will be due the following day.
