Our class is going to the Brown House Monday morning.There will be a history quiz on Tuesday.  Our class party is Tuesday afternoon. 

Please send in your child's $10 gift by  Monday so that we can have our gift exchange on Tuesday. (If anyone needs help with this, please let me know.)

Christmas Break is from Wednesday, December 19th - Wednesday, January 2nd! School will start back on Thursday, January 4th.

Every student at NLCA did a great job in the school play! Thank you for helping make this year's play such a success! We had a blast watching The Grinch as a school; thank you to the principals for making that happen! All students need their Christmas Play clothes by Monday, December 3rd.  Everyone needs a long sleeved black shirt, black pants, and black socks.  

Students will need to be at both Christmas performances on Thursday, December 6th (10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.). We encourage all students to go home between the performances. Students will need to be back in their classroom by 6:30 that evening.

The class Christmas party will be on Tuesday afternoon, December 18th. Please send in a wrapped, $10, gender-neutral present for our gift exchange. (If you would like to help host this party, please let me know!)

Christmas Break is Wednesday, December 19th, - Wednesday, January 2nd. We do not return until Thursday, January 3rd!

Grandparent's Day celebration is on Friday morning, September 28th. School will be dismissed following the ceremony. 

The fundraiser for school apparel is due back on Thursday, September 27th.

This year Chapel is separated between elementary and secondary. Parents are still welcome to attend.  5th grade will meet in the new gym on Wednesdays from 1:45-2:15. On the last Wednesday of each month, everyone will have chapel together from 8:00-8:45. 

We will be meeting at the flagpole this Tuesday, September 11th, in remembrance of 9/11. Families are welcome to join.

The school literature fair is on Tuesday, September 25th. All 5th graders are required to participate. Students should be reading their book at home.

Mark your calendars for our annual Grandparents Day Celebration on Friday, September 28th. (School will dismiss immediately following the presentation.)

Don't forget that your kiddo can "clip up" for bringing in a signed note saying you read the blog. Please send in those Box Tops as well!

No school Monday! I postponed the language test until next week because the class wasn't ready for it. Don't forget to send in a signed note saying you read the blog so your kiddo can "clip up!"  Bringing in Box Tops is also a "clip up!" There will be a PTF (parent and teacher fellowship) meeting immediately after school on Tuesday, September 4th. Please come share your ideas!Our school Literature Fair is on Tuesday, September 25. It is a requirement that all 5th graders participate; I sent home a packet containing all this information.
