 Week of April 10-14

No school on Monday, April 10th due to spring break! 


7/8 Science: We will cover 9.3-9.7 (please read pages 335-364)

7th Math: we will review and cover 9.4-9.5 (pages 368-390)

11/12 Chemistry: Lab week! We will be working with Bunsen burners, salt flames and a few demonstrations from chapter 13 (p428, 429, 435)

9/10 Physics: We will cover chapter 12 (please read pages 277-303)

9th Health: Guest speaker, Brandon Gibson from MonPower on Thursday

 Week of March 27-31st

All students have completed the STEM Projects! They will be presenting them to their classes next week. 

There will be a secondary Easter party on Friday, March 31st.

7/8th Science: We plan to read 9.1-9.4 (pages 323-345) and present STEM projects.

7th: complete sections 9.1-9.3, quiz 34 Thursday

11/12th Chemistry: Chapter 12 exam Tuesday; STEM presentations throughout the week

9/10th Physics: Test 8 (chapter 11) Tuesday; STEM presentations throughout the week, cover 12.1-12.2 (pages 278-284)

Health: 9th grade STEM presentations

 Week of March 20-24

Because of the two snow days last week, the graph for the STEM projects will not be due until Friday, March 24th. All students need to complete the experiment part of their project before coming back to school on Monday, March 20th. I will assist each student in class throughout the week on making their data table and graphs in Power Point. 

7/8th Science: finish reading chapter 8 (pages 314-320), test 8 Thursday

7th Math: complete chapter 8, quiz 33 Wednesday, test 8 Friday

11-12th Chemistry: complete chapter 12 (read pages p 400-408), complete workbook pages 176-182 for the week, page 183 will be a bonus opportunity, chapter 12 quiz Friday

9-10th Physics: quiz 22 Monday, complete chapter 11 (read pages 263-275)

Health: we will be completing the STEM projects on Power Point during this time

 Week of March 13-17

Everyone has now completed their STEM report. Students may begin performing their experiments at home anytime. A typed data table and graph is required from each student by Friday, March 17th. ( I will assist each student individually in class with this.) 

7/8th Science: read pages 305-320, quiz 25 Tuesday, quiz 26 Friday

7th Math: cover sections 8.4, 8.5, 8.6, quiz 32 Wednesday

11/12th Chemistry: read sections 12.2-12.3, work book pages 172-179

9/10th Physics: begin chapter 11, read pages 255-270, quiz 22 Friday

9th Health: IXL recommendations Monday and Friday, Guest speaker, Jason Eades, on Thursday

 Week of March 6-10th

    All students in every science class will be completing a STEM project this month. We have been talking individually about their topic selection this past week. Weekly deadlines will be posted here. On Friday, March 10th , everyone needs to hand in a typed report. (It will need to include the question they are asking, the hypothesis the expect to find, the supply list, and a paragraph stating their procedure.) Please include the controls, independent and dependent variables. (I have discussed these with each student individually.) 

7/8 Science: quiz 23 (open book) Monday, read pages 293-305, quiz 24 Thursday (closed book)

7th Math: sections 8.2-8.3, quiz 30 Tuesday

11/12 Chemistry: test 11 Tuesday, read chapter 12 pages 382-390, elephant toothpaste lab due Thursday, work book pages 171-172 due Friday

9/10 Physics: read 10.3 and complete section review questions by Tuesday, Test 7 Friday, lab 18/19 Tuesday

9th Health: guest speaker Leslie Baughman will be teaching us sew!
